Earthly Labs / Chart Industries CiCi® carbon capture, purification, recovery and CO₂ liquefaction system available for sale. This is a compact, automated system developed for small-scale CO₂ recovery applications, including craft breweries and other facilities that want to recover and reuse CO₂ rather than vent it.
The system includes the CiCi liquefaction cabinet, Smart Foam Trap / heat exchanger, foam trap, CO₂ storage equipment, controls and associated components. The purchased package included one 550-lb Chart CO₂ dewars with integrated vaporizers and a storage-tank scale. The system uses regenerative drying, purification/sorbent technology, refrigeration/liquefaction and automated controls with an HMI.
Electrical requirement: 208 V, 30 A, 3-phase. The unit is equipped with an L21-30P plug; the installation requires an L21-30R receptacle. Main cabinet dimensions are approximately 77.5 in H x 38.11 in W x 61 in D for this configuration. Smart Foam Trap / HX is approximately 23.5 in W x 72 in H. Foam trap is approximately 23.5 in W x 32 in H. The dewar envelope is approximately 33 in x 33 in x 68 in.
The unit completed factory acceptance testing in July 2024 (Serial No. ETL-23140002). During the documented full-flow FAT at at least 1.2 SCFM CO₂ inlet, the system produced 6.5 lb/hr (2.95 kg/hr) of liquid CO₂; the FAT documentation listed an expected full-flow value of 8 lb/hr. Testing also documented liquid CO₂ accumulation, approximately 145 psig chiller/dewar operating pressure, and chiller outlet temperatures below -27°F.
Earthly Labs markets the CiCi platform as a plug-and-play CO₂ capture and recovery solution for craft brewers, with moisture removal, purification, liquefaction, CO₂ storage/vaporization and monitoring capability. This unit is suitable for breweries, distilleries, fermentation facilities, pilot plants and other small-scale CO₂ recovery applications.
Used equipment – only used once for demonstration. Buyer is responsible for confirming suitability, installation requirements, shipping/rigging, and any required inspection or recertification. Technical documentation and additional photographs are available to serious buyers.
