A Note From Atlanta Brewing Company: As Atlanta Brewing Company gears up to begin construction on its new brewery and taproom, the company’s existing location, at 2323 Defoor Hills Rd NW., will close its doors to the public come July 3, 2022. “Our new landlord wanted to double the rent,” Alton Shields, President & CEO, said. “When you consider the increase in rent and a nearly million dollar investment that would be needed to upgrade our brewing systems if we stayed, relocating is a no-brainer.” Sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2022, and “certainly before the peach drops on New Year’s Eve,” Atlanta Brewing Company will open a new, state-of-the-art brewery in downtown Atlanta. In its new home, Atlanta Brewing Company will operate an experimental brewery with a kitchen featuring chef pop ups and rotating cuisines in nearly 9,000 square feet with a renewed focus on the customer. Atlanta Brewing Company has partnered with Second Self Beer Company which will produce ABC’s famous core beers like West Coast IPA Hoplanta and the crowd pleasing Lager on My Mind. “We are awfully excited about our future and the new impact that we will have on Georgia craft beer, exclaimed Shields.
