Company: Production Automation Incorporated, Montgomery, AL Our 6251 was built in 1995. It was taken back into the manufacturer at Montgomery and refurnished (6251R) in 2005. It has a PLC 5/11 and that can be upgraded to a 5/20 if needed (this just adds more memory). Here is what was done during the refurbish in 2005 (6251R): • Modified to handle 48×40 and 36×36 pallets- End Load pallets • Add a finger pushover • Rebuilt the divider • Complete check out of the electrical controls • Repaint the palletizer • Replaced the platform/catwalk • PLC remained an AB 5/11 with a 10″ color touch screen • Replaced the turning pan assembly • Replaced/ upgraded the apron assembly with a UHMW Apron • Provided a new one station full pallet outfeed We purchased the machine and installed it at our plant last summer (June). We replaced and updated the following: o Layer Forming Area Roller Assembly, With Rubber Coating – includes roller, shaft, bearings, and rubber coating o Case stop assemblies o Air cylinders for case turner stops o Outfeed pallet sensors o Mini Stop Area Roller Assembly o Accumulator Rubber Rollers We rewired the machine to operate as a stand-alone unit as it previously was in a “logic” system Machine can run up to 40 cases per minute, and can run both 3’x3’ & 40”x48” pallets Palletizer was initially purchased by a Pepsi plant The following stack patterns are loaded in the machine: o 12oz glass bottles on 36”x 36” pallets = 8 cases per layer/ 6 layers high o 12oz glass bottles on 40” x 48” pallets = 10 cases per layer/ 6 layers high o 20oz bottles on 36” x 36” pallets = 6 cases per layer/ 7 layers high o 20oz bottles on 40” x 48” pallets = 10 cases per layer/ 6 layers high o 1-liter bottles in 15 count cardboard boxes on 40” x 48” pallets = 9 cases per layer/ 5 layers high o 2-liters on 36” x 36” pallets = 8 cases per layer/ 5 layers high Stack height can be adjusted on any of the patterns on the touch screen
